Meet Mushroom! Mushroom is a sweet, medium-energy girl who truly lives up to her name, putting the “fun” in fungus!

When Mushroom first arrived at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she lacked confidence in the world around her and was unsure of new people and places. Now as a graduate of our program, she loves adventures, car rides, playtime with dog friends and curling up for cuddles when the day is done! Mushroom is great with other dogs and has a wonderful ability to match the energy of her playmates, whether that means romping with playful pups or peacefully coexisting with more laidback companions.

Like many sensitive dogs, Mushroom can be a little shy when meeting new people. In unfamiliar situations, she may seem nervous or hesitant at first, but once she realizes you're kind, patient and prepared with treats or a fun walk, she warms up surprisingly quickly. Her goofy, affectionate personality will start to shine, and she'll happily lean in for pets, roll over for belly rubs and make the silliest faces you've ever seen.

Mushroom is looking for an adopter who will appreciate both her tender heart and her progress. She has worked hard to build confidence and learned great life skills like walking on leash, riding in the car and settling in a crate. She continues to show that she's ready for a home of her own. If you're willing to give her a little time to settle in, you'll be rewarded with a loyal adventure buddy, a champion cuddler and a dog who blossoms beautifully once she feels safe and loved. Susie it all — she has bounce, brains and a soft spot for pets!

Susie came to the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center from a local shelter after not having the easiest start to life. With patience and support from our program, she has blossomed into the fun, spirited dog she was always meant to be!

Susie is a small but mighty pup with a whole lot of personality. She brings the fun with her wherever she goes and is always ready to play, explore and turn a simple walk into an adventure. She also loves spending time with other dogs! Susie enjoys a good rough-and-tumble play session, but she is also able to adjust her style to match her playmate and take breaks when needed.

With her people, Susie is affectionate, playful and loves to be involved in whatever you’re doing. She’s a big fan of belly rubs, learning new things and will happily roll into your lap and tuck her head under your hand when she’s ready for attention. Once she knows you, she really leans into that cuddly side.

When meeting new people, Susie can be a little unsure, but she’s made wonderful progress. She warms up quickly, especially if you come prepared with an extra tasty treat. Give her a little time and she’ll show you just how fun she is!

Susie enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world around her. Susie has bursts of playful energy and is then happy to settle and recharge. She can get a little excited on leash, so using a harness and continuing to practice will help her shine as a walking buddy.

Susie is looking for an adopter who is excited to keep building her confidence and include her in daily activities. She thrives when she knows something fun is coming next and does best with a routine that keeps her engaged and active.

If you’re looking for a spunky, playful dog who can keep you company on adventures and then curl up close when the day is done, Susie might be your girl. Please submit an adoption inquiry here - https://airtable.com/appu4JXVMk4vi7hbT/shr1nGkF2RcpTMHYQ

Julep came to the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center as an extremely fearful dog, and after completing the program and spending time in foster, she’s really started to bloom into a fun, curious girl who’s figuring out how much she enjoys life.

She’s an outdoorsy pup at heart and absolutely lights up for walks and adventures. She enjoys checking in with her person, sniffing along the way, and seems happiest when she has a dog friend by her side to share the experience.

Julep has made thoughtful progress with people. Some situations can still feel a little overwhelming, especially when things are loud or unpredictable, but she continues to bounce back faster each time.

Julep thrives with other dogs! She loves playing with high energy dog friends and is great at reading their cues, knowing when to match their excitement and when to give space. Having a dog buddy helps her feel more confident and brings out her playful, upbeat side.

In her foster home, Julep is settling in and starting to show her softer side. She enjoys yard time, cozy spots to relax and curling up near her people. She’s learning that indoor life can feel safe too, and having a steady routine really helps her feel comfortable.

Julep is looking for a patient, encouraging home that will keep building her confidence while letting her enjoy all the things she’s started to love. Eleanor is a big-hearted, gentle soul whose favorite things in life are soft beds, kind people and canine friends. When she first arrived at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she was unsure of the world around her. Now as a graduate, she is affectionately described as a "snugglebug couch potato.” She loves relaxing on the couch or futon and soaking up attention from the people she trusts. Eleanor has a moderate energy level and enjoys leisurely walks, spending time in the yard and gentle play sessions with other dogs, especially chase games. She has been a valued helper dog for other fearful dogs in our behavior treatment program, showcasing her calm, social nature and excellent dog-to-dog skills.

With familiar people, Eleanor is affectionate, playful and incredibly sweet. She enjoys petting so much that she'll often lean in, nudge a hand or move closer to ask for more. While she can be a little nervous when meeting new people, she typically warms up quickly and is often seeking affection shortly after meeting someone. Eleanor has worked hard to build her confidence and learn important life skills, including riding in a car, navigating stairs and walking politely on a leash. Once she's out exploring with her person, she's a pleasant and easy walking companion.

Like many sensitive dogs, Eleanor can be startled by sudden noises, loud environments or unfamiliar situations. However, with patience, a calm approach and a little encouragement, she recovers quickly and settles beautifully. Eleanor would thrive in a home that appreciates her gentle nature, gives her time to adjust and rewards her trust with plenty of affection. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who is happiest curled up nearby, quietly enjoying life with her people.
