NOTE: If you are seeing this posting, she's still available :)

Meet Trixie! We were told she was born on 1/11/22. Her mom looked to be a boston terrier mix. Trix is tipping the scales at 25lbs and is lean because she's always on the go given her age.

Trixie is a very sweet girl, who just needs some basic training. Her fosterhome has a fenced yard and since she has had minimal leash training, that works best at the moment. She needs routine & some manners to be the perfect family pet. Trix is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and was tested for HW and tick borne diseases - all were neg. She has the shiniest sleek black coat we've ever seen on a pup before! She's very treat motivated and when it comes to taking commands, she's all ears LOL Her friends are a group of adult dogs as well as a couple of young shepherd mixes that are double her size also with us. Trixie's favorite game is fetch & she actually brings the ball back to you!

Recent small breed experience is a must since they're just not for everyone & definitely not for the 1st time dog owner. This girl would NOT do well in a city environment, so we're seeking a more rural home since that's all she knows. If you have the time and patience to train a pup, please visit our site at endingthesadness.org & fill out an application to be considered. Adopters must be no more than 2hrs driving distance from us. Only older children in the home, please.

If you’re looking for a cat with movie-star looks and a personality big enough to fill your whole home, then let me introduce myself. My name is Rivers.

I am one heck of a charmer. I’m not only a gorgeous boy, but I also have the sweetest, gentlest soul you could ever hope to meet. And yes… I love to talk. A lot. What can I say? It’s part of who I am! I always seem to have something important to tell you. In fact, half my photos are with my mouth open because I’m busy chatting away. I also love food! Recently I found out I have a super colon, so I am on a prescription diet and some medication. I eat it like the champ that I am!

I adore people. Petting, attention, companionship—I love it all. I just want to be close to my humans and included in their everyday life. Whether I’m following you around the house, carrying on a conversation, or curling up nearby, I promise to fill your home with love, warmth, and plenty of entertainment.

Life hasn’t always been easy for me. After our previous owner was evicted, I was sadly left behind and left to fend for myself. Thankfully, I was rescued before it was too late, and now I am getting the second chance we deserve.

This time, though, I am hoping for something real. Something forever.

I've already known heartbreak once. Now I am just looking for a family who will love me for the rest of my life—the way I’ll love you right back.

My name may be Silly, but there’s actually nothing silly about me at all. I’m a chatty, loving, and gentle girl who will make it very easy for you to fall in love.I came from a home with many other cats, and when my owner needed to reduce the number of cats in the house, I found myself looking for a new beginning. While my world changed overnight, I haven’t let it dim my sweet personality. I still greet people with affection, ask for attention, and happily chat away as if we’ve known each other forever.I love other cats and get along wonderfully with them. I’m also very food-motivated, so a tasty snack is a quick way to win my heart. As for dogs, I’m not quite sure how I feel about them yet, but I do know one thing: kids are going to adore me. I’m patient, gentle, and would love nothing more than to curl up beside them while they read me a story or spend the afternoon together. All I want is a family to call my own, one that will love me as much as I’ll love them. I’ve already lost one home, and I’m hoping my next one will truly be forever.Could that forever home be yours? My name is Lily. I was found roaming the streets of New Brunswick, while I was heavily pregnant. I gave birth to 5 adorable mini me. They have all graduated from nursing, and I am now free to enjoy life again. I hated roaming the streets and want to find my forever family where I can just lounge on the couch and be lazy. I love to watch whatever activity is happening around me, while I lounge comfortably in my spot. I am rather laid back. I do want some attention and love though. If you have questions about me, please email beaconofhoperescue@gmail.comTo fill out an application, go to https://beaconofhoperescue.com and click 'Adoption Application' at the top. An application is required to schedule a meet and greet. All Beacon of Hope Rescue cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV tested.
