When a former SoCo staff member heard about a litter of stray pups that needed help, she offered to take the pups in and provide care for them. During their time with this woman, they were started on their required basic care of being de-wormed, receiving their vaccinations and other preventative care. Once space opened up at our rescue, all nine pups from this litter were then transferred to our facility. Financial restraints and other issues beyond our control prohibited us from getting the entire litter ready for adoption sooner, as we had hoped. But now, the first three, Tootsie, Tiffany and Travis, are now available for adoption.

Tiffany is a sweet, wonderful girl who plays very well with other dogs. Tiffany is very affectionate, playful and loves her time with people. Her only drawback: she is a bit timid when facing new task such as we're seeing with her leash training.

While she is going to make someone a great companion, she is very apprehensive and reluctant of a leash. We have been working with her and she is making positive progress, but her adopter must be understanding and patience so that she can master the training.

Tiffany has now been fully vetted, including being spayed. We've also kept her on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. All this wonderful girl needs is your love!

Maverick is a 5 month old extremely playful and affectionate kitten. He is always looking for toys to play with, and will leap 3 feet into the air to grab a toy that is tossed to him. Maverick loves toys so much that he'll chase a wand toy until he is panting.

Maverick is very playful with his siblings too and we would love to see him adopted together with one of them: Millie, Merlin, or Mia. Maverick has been spayed, combo tested negative, received his fvrcp and rabies vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped.

Maverick is part of the Molly and her kittens group that are currently being fostered in central New Jersey.

We were recently made aware of a stray female dog that had been roaming a neighboring city. This dog would frequent a particular house as the family that lived there would provide her food, water and even shelter during bad weather. This girl has also been very elusive, preventing the family from catching her. Over the past year, this girl has now produced two litters, the latest being our "D" litter pups. SoCo Rescue is going to assist with capturing this girl and having her spay to prevent any further litters.

Give Drizzle 5 minutes of your time and you'll see why he'll make a great companion. Super sweet, playful and well-socialized towards people, Drizzle seems to be the total package and a near-perfect pup. All you need to add is your love and commitment to him for Drizzle to become one of the best dogs you've ever had.

We've just started Drizzle on his regiment of de-wormings and vaccinations. While still too young to receive his rabies vaccine (obtain after 12 weeks of age), he has already received 1 of 3 of his first year puppy vaccines. Drizzle's adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches 6 months old and provide SoCo Rescue with verification of such. Drizzle will require all of his basic training.

Per our adoption policy, Drizzle can be pre-adopted, but will not be released to his new home until a week after receiving his second vaccine (estimated release date: Nov. 9).

Over a weekend in late Sept of 2026, Baxter and four other small dogs (two being Poodles and a Yorkie) were found as strays along a dirt road in a very rural area of Georgia. A sixth small dog, breed unknown, was also found deceased on the side of this road. All of the dogs were extremely matted, appeared to have suffered from long-term neglect and were very terrified. Immediately upon their arrival, they were sent to a local groomer who had to completely shave them down to remove all of the matted fur. We can only assume that these dogs had been abandoned by a breeder within that area.

Due to space limitations at SoCo and to allow him to decompress, the groomer offered to foster Baxter and his four companions for a couple of weeks. During that time, Baxter was able to recover from his ordeal. He's since also proven to be very friendly and affectionate towards people, despite the obvious neglect by his former owner, and also gets along great with other dogs. Baxter deserves a home that will give him ample amounts of love, proper care (including regular grooming) and some patience while he continues to learn that being a dog means much more than just being a source of income.

We've now had Baxter neutered and renewed his annual vaccinations and de-wormings. He's also been started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His recent vet examination resulted in a negative test results for heartworms. Baxter will most likely need further house and leash training once in a new home. Baxter has already been microchipped as well

On a hot, muggy June morning, 11 tiny puppies were found abandoned in a ditch in Uvalda, GA. We know they were purposely left there due to the presence of human foot prints, not paw prints, that were found in the mud around the nearly 3 week old puppies. Two of the pups were already deceased by the time they were found and a third pup passed away while en route to SoCo. The remaining eight pups, all severely dehydrated and covered in mud, were clinging to life with every bit of hope they had.

Playful, affectionate and full of personality, Cyrie is going to make some lucky person very happy. She loves playing with other pups and will do very well in a home with another dog.

As of August 6th, Cyrie has received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines and will be due her third vaccination on August. 27th. She's also been de-wormed on multiple occasions and even started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She will require all of her basic training and her adopter must agree to having her spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue.
