Wiggy is the baby of Class 11 at just 9 months old and 39 pounds, and he is ALL puppy — happy, bouncy, goofy, energetic, and always ready to play. Peach and Kirby are his current partners in crime, and he thinks they are just fabulous.

He was surrendered to the shelter because he was having accidents in the house. . . at eight months old. We’ll give you a minute.

His former family said he’s a German Wirehaired Pointer, and we can definitely see it in that scruffy coat, face, and build. The cream-and-gold coloring is a bit of a plot twist, so who knows what else is mixed in there.

Whatever he is, he is RIDICULOUSLY cute, expected to top out around 55 pounds, and we have a sneaking suspicion this boy is going to have a fan club.

BARNIE
GIRL (AKA Shorty Pants) -- Needs a foster and a HOME - WHAT a CHARACTER!!

MEET BARNIE — OUR ADORABLE, SHORT & SQUAT BREAD-BOX KITTY!

Our small rescue is FULL, and we have no place for Barnie to go. We are desperately hoping to find this sweet girl a foster or forever home.

Barnie is super cute, short in every direction, and looks like a big kitten! She has a BIG personality to go with her compact little body. ❤️

She is:
✨ A talker — she loves to have conversations with you!
✨ Very affectionate and loves to be petted
✨ Happy to be near you
✨ Loves to lie on the bed with you
✨ Loves to run and PLAY
✨ Not demanding or overly needy
✨ A great working cat

Barnie even enjoys being picked up and held. She truly has come a long way!

BARNIE'S STORY

Barnie’s journey began when she was a community (feral) cat who became pregnant while still just a big kitten herself. She was trapped with her kittens with the intention of being spayed and released.

Her kittens quickly found homes, but we soon discovered something very important about Barnie:

She wasn't truly feral. She WANTED to trust people. ❤️

While recovering from her spay, Barnie discovered that she loved gentle pets, kind voices, and human attention. Since then, she has made incredible progress toward becoming a wonderful house cat.

Today, Barnie is a beautiful, affectionate girl who enjoys being with people, being petted, and even being picked up and held.

WHAT BARNIE NEEDS

All shelters and rescues are currently over capacity, and we are a small rescue trying to make the best possible situation for ALL of the cats in our care.

Barnie would do best in a home with no other cats, as she can be selective about her feline companions. Could she eventually accept another cat? Possibly — but we simply cannot predict that.

We do not normally pay for fosters, but we provide the food and other supplies Barnie needs.

❤️ FIV POSITIVE — BUT STILL A WONDERFUL CAT!

Barnie has tested positive for FIV, but she is young and may even clear the virus over time. We have seen this happen before.

And even if Barnie remains FIV-positive, our veterinarian has confirmed that she can live a long, normal, healthy life just like any other cat. Our rescue has FIV-positive cats who have lived for decades.

FIV does not change the fact that Barnie is a loving, playful, affectionate cat who deserves a home of her own.

✨ Barnie deserves a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored. ✨

FOSTER OR ADOPTION

✔️ Always a trial basis — for BOTH foster and final homes!
✔️ We provide all food and other necessary supplies.
✔️ If circumstances ever change, we will always take our cats back — now or in the future.

We want everyone involved — Barnie AND her people — to be happy.

Excellent family dog, good with everyone

Meet Jolly — Your Built-In Best Friend!

At just 3.5 years old and a solid, huggable 61 lbs, Jolly has already lived quite a story. He was once the nighttime companion of a homeless individual, and that early bond with people shines through in everything he does. Jolly is a true companion dog — loyal, sweet, and happiest when he’s by your side.

He is more comfortable and secure if you provide structure and you direct him.

This gentle boy gets along beautifully with other dogs, does just fine with cats, and is an all-around lovebug with adults. Because of his size, he’d do best with older, sturdy kids who understand how to share space with a big softie.

He would benefit from basic training and learning that he doesn't have to manage everything, he has a human to do that. Training would make him feel more secure.

Age: 3.5 years

Weight: 60 lbs

Temperament: Good with other dogs, cats, older sturdy kids, all adults

Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, walks nicely on leash

Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative

Email for questions: asimon100@outlook.com

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.

Jolly Boy

Raya is a charming 5-year-old, 10 lb. rat terrier and Chihuahua mix with a big personality and a resilient spirit. While she carries a few old scars from a past we'll never know, her sweet heart is fully focused on the future.

Raya is a vocal, schedule-loving girl who will endearingly let you know when it's time for meals or activities. Out on walks, she can be a bit barky when passing people or dogs, but she is highly treat-motivated and easily redirected with a tasty snack. When introduced to a resident cat, she showed no interest, so she could potentially live with a dog-savvy cat.

Because of a history of painful bowel movements, Raya is currently on a low dose of prednisone (about $10/month). She is doing very well on the medication and has a routine follow-up appointment scheduled to determine whether any ongoing treatment will be needed. Raya loves to be the center of your universe and prefers to have her space respected, so she will thrive best as the only pet in an adult-only home with no other dogs where she can soak up all the love and attention without having to share her humans. She needs a patient, loving adopter who appreciates her routine-driven nature and can offer a predictable, devoted environment.

You can see more photos of Raya in her online album at ImageEvent.com/newrattitude/ raya.

Ridley is a sweet but very shy lady. She will need time to adjust but once she does she will be puffy in your arms. She doesn’t seems to mind cats but isn’t very fond of dogs.
