BIO: We can’t say enough good things about this little girl. She came from rural TN and was bred every time she came into season but lucky for her a Good Samaritan saw her plight and stepped in to take her. The Good Samaritan was driven to save her but could not keep her so she reached out to us for help. Rosie is all sunshine and roses and she SMILES! If you talk sweetly to her, she’ll give you her sweet smile. You can see it in one of her pictures.

Rosie didn’t know how to play but she is learning and would be fine with another male or female pup around her age that is socialized. She craves attention because she never had any and she loves it.

Sadly, she came to us with heartworms so she will go through treatment for those and will not be available until the 28th of November, just in time for the holidays. Don’t let the heartworms scare you. She is light heartworm positive and she’ll be clear of them when she goes to her forever home. This delay will give you plenty of time to plan for Rosie and shop for her for the holiday.

Our must haves for this little one are:

A fenced in yard
Another brother or sister to learn to play with, young and small - no big dogs
Someone that can be home more than not
Please no apartments, high rises or condo

If you want years of devotion, then you can’t go wrong with this Rosie. Apply, get approved, and we’ll keep you posted on how she is doing with treatment. If you live close enough, you can come and visit her when approved.

BIO: Malorie came to us pregnant; she has seen her puppies off to wonderful homes, and now it’s her turn. She has been spayed, had a dental, and received all her shots. This girl is a sweetie! She’s a little shy at first but warms up and just wants to be loved.
She would be fine with another adult, small dog, or by herself if you work from home or are newly retired. She is not a couch potato. She likes walks and playing, so don’t apply if you just want someone to sit with you on the couch.
Our must-haves for sweet Malorie include:

A fenced yard
Another small, adult, friendly dog (male or female)
Someone who can be home more often than not
No apartments, high-rises, duplexes, or condos, as Dachshunds do bark

If you meet these requirements and want to know more about Malorie, email us; or, if you know she’s the one, fill out your application.

RESCUE #: 2025-04-12-03

BIO: Luna came from a breeder when she went down in her back. We immediately took her to our specialty vet clinic where they determined that she was not a candidate for surgery. She did receive physical therapy and acupuncture and learned to spine walk. Spinal walking occurs when a paralyzed dog with no pain sensation or feeling in their legs learns to walk and stand through reflex. Luna does great with spine walking. She will never walk normally, but she now can even go up and down ramps like a pro. She is a very determined little lady, and she deserves a home where they appreciate her willingness to keep working to strengthen her legs.

Every morning, Luna is so happy when she wakes up in her soft crate. She immediately flips over for belly rubs. Once outside, she does a happy dance when I call her “pretty girl.” She loves being called “pretty girl” and puts her head up high and runs around excitedly. Morning is her hyper time when she plays with her toys and wrestles with her brother. In quieter moments Luna loves to cuddle with her foster sisters. A couple of her favorite things are sunbathing and playing with her rubber squeaky toys. Please checkout Luna’s videos. She’s a happy little girl and deserves a forever home where she will be loved and valued as the beautiful, special pup that she is.

Our must-haves for precious Luna include:

A fenced yard to get out and continue to strengthen her back legs, and when outside, she is FAST
Someone who is home more often than not
Someone with IVDD experience
Another small young dog for her to hang with
No apartments, high-rises, or condos

Because of her back issue, her adopter will need to have experience with a “downed” dog and know how to express her bladder. If you do not have this experience, please do not apply. If you have the experience and would like more information before applying for her, you can email her foster mom at aadrpresident@gmail.com, and she’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.

Another young small dog to play with
Someone that can be home more than not
Someone that will be willing to keep him groomed
Sorry no apartments, condos or high rises he likes a fenced yard to run and play in

If you are serious about giving this boy a home, go to our website and fill out our online adoption application. BIO: INSTANT FAMILY! Who would not want these two, they are hilarious together. With summer rerun who would not want two cute puppies to keep them entertained? If you are looking to adopt two sweet sweet puppies this is your chance. While we do have the adoption fee for one listed, we REALLY would like to see them go together and not leave the other behind, lonely because she doesn’t have the other one to play with.
Gigi is always seeing what trouble she can get into. Shoes, gone running across the floor, socks are out the door. Grass clipping probably in the house. She is like an Incorrigible child but you can’t stay upset with her because she is soooo sweet.
Patsy is the more laid back of the two. She’ll sit back and let Gigi start it and then join in. She’s more likely to be napping while Gigi is still going. But don’t kid yourself she can still be in the middle of it all. Super sweet and a very happy girl.
Our must haves for our girls are:

A fenced in yard
An active family with children 7 yrs and up, no old dogs or big dogs, no one looking for couch potatoes or someone that is not active
Someone that can be home more than not to help with them with house breaking, they do well on a schedule
No apartments, high rises or condos

Adopting these two together would be the best decision of your life. Watch them entertain your family for many years. You can’t go wrong with these two. They have no issues other than being puppies and loving life.
