Just look at me

I’m adorable little scruffy guy! Hello my name is Granite, (61554592) and with this beautiful black coat, I look just like my namesake, but underneath that rugged retriever/lab mix exterior I am a sweet, gentle boy who is hoping someone will see how special I really am

I am about 4 years old and weight 50 pounds. I loves treats and already know to SIT, so I’m ready to show a new family just how smart I am. This weekend is a perfect opportunity to bring the family let’s meet

Meet Sharon! This beautiful 2-year-old girl weighs 70 pounds and is ready to find her forever home. Sharon was found as a stray, and when her owner never came forward, she began her search for a family of her own.

We think Sharon may be a Plott Hound/Great Pyrenees mix, but one thing we know for sure is that she's 100% lovable! She's house-trained, energetic, and loves playing in the water. She walks well on a leash, and her favorite way to spend the day is exploring walking trails.

Sharon would love a home with another active dog, especially a confident canine companion who can help her continue coming out of her shell. She's ready for a family who will enjoy an active lifestyle and give her all the love she deserves! Kids 10+ would do great with Sharon.

She's been spayed, microchipped, and made current on vaccines. She tested positive for heartworms and has started the slow-kill treatment, which means no down time or risky side effects for her. Stay tuned for more info and photos as we get to know Sharon!

Fee $275, apply online if interested: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society

Jag is four years old and 51 lbs. as of July 2026. He was adopted as a puppy and is being surrendered back to us because he's not adjusting well to the new baby in the home. Jag is very smart, playful, and energetic and loves to meet new people. His ideal home would be with someone who is active and can provide him with lots of exercise and adventure. He loves exploring the outdoors, walks well on a leash once he gets the initial excitement out of his system. Jag is great with other dogs and would be a good companion for older children. He's house and crate trained and know commands: sit, stay, lay down, leave it, crate.

Jag is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative and his fee is $275. Please apply online if you'd like to meet him: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society

My knee is healed, my bags are packed, and I’m ready for my next adventure… HOME! I’m Potion (59537774), a 1½-year-old Border Collie mix weighing 54 lbs. I’ve spent the last few months in a loving foster home recovering from knee surgery, and now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to begin the chapter I’ve been waiting for.

I’m a very social girl who is house trained AND crate trained, loves playing with dogs my own size, and already knows SIT, DOWN, STAY and WAIT... with even more tricks in the works! I’ve worked hard to get here, and now there’s just one thing left on my recovery plan: find a loving family and become somebody’s best friend for life.

If you would like to me, please send an email to foster@collincountytx.gov to schedule our meet and greet!
