Chevy is a beautiful 6-year-old merle Great Dane looking for a special home that understands her needs and is ready to help her continue building confidence.
At her core, Chevy is an incredibly loyal Dane who forms deep bonds with her people. Once she trusts you, she'll happily follow you from room to room, curl up nearby while you relax, and remind you why Great Danes are known for their devotion. She loves playing fetch with her Kong stick, zooming around the yard, and soaking up time with her favorite humans.
Chevy is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands including sit, down, come, stay, and off, and responds well to hand signals. She enjoys learning, especially when rewarded with her favorite all-natural treats.
While Chevy has many wonderful qualities, she is looking for a very specific home where she can thrive. Chevy can be reactive to people and animals she sees through windows, on walks, or while riding in the car. She will bark and lunge when triggered and will need continued training, patience, and consistent leadership to help her work through these behaviors.
Because of her reactivity, Chevy must be the only pet in the home. She is not a candidate for homes with other dogs, cats, or small animals. She also requires an adult-only home with no children.
Chevy's ideal adopter will have previous giant breed experience, understand canine body language, and be committed to continuing her training and confidence-building. She would do best in a calm, predictable environment with a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and play.
In return, Chevy offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship. She settles in quickly with her people, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves nothing more than being close to the person she trusts.
If you're an experienced giant breed owner looking for a devoted companion and are willing to provide the structure and training Chevy needs, she may be the perfect addition to your family.

Looking for the perfect companion to soak up the sunshine with this summer?
Meet Dango, a 6-year-old, 156-pound Great Dane who is equal parts beach bum, cuddle expert, and family best friend. Dango's idea of a perfect summer day starts with lounging in a sunny spot, followed by a leisurely stroll, a car ride adventure, and ending with a cozy nap right next to his favorite people. He's a self-proclaimed lap dog trapped in a giant body and has never quite figured out that 156 pounds is a little too big for most laps!
A few of Dango's favorite things:
Car rides and tagging along on adventures
Squeaky toys, stuffed toys, treats, and bones
☀️ Sunbathing in the yard and relaxing indoors with his people
❤️ Cuddling up as close as possible (preferably in your lap)
This handsome gentleman is friendly with everyone he meets, including adults, kids, dogs, cats, and even livestock. He's lived happily with children as young as toddlers and truly loves being part of the family action. Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ or relaxing in the air conditioning, Dango just wants to be wherever his people are. Dango is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, and even has a few party tricks up his sleeve. He walks nicely on leash, has mild energy, and is happiest spending time with the people he loves.
Like many dogs, Dango isn't a fan of summer fireworks or thunderstorms. He feels safest with a covered crate, white noise, and a little extra reassurance from his family.
His dream home would include a yard to enjoy, lots of love, and people who will make him part of their everyday lives. Another dog would be a bonus, but what Dango really wants is a family to call his own.
His owner describes him as a dog with an incredible heart who has overcome a difficult start in life and never stopped loving the people around him. Dango is ready to pack his favorite squeaky toy and move right into your heart. ❤️
More about Dango: * Housetrained: Yes * Crate trained: Yes * Great with people of all ages * Good with dogs, cats and livestock (will chase birds outside but hasn’t caught them) * Know basic commands and a few tricks * Walks well on leash * Fireworks and Thunderstorms are scary - does best when crated and covered
