Meet Zeeria:

Zeeria, one of PPP’s favorite chonkers, is just waiting to come liven up your home and spread the joy that he shares with us at YOUR house. Zeeria’s was born in a kennel at PPP, along with his five siblings, not long after his mother Ziva was rescued from the kill pound in Piedmont MO. Alone, and on the streets, she was rescued by PPP not long after being brought into the pound, and Zeeria made his appearance just a few weeks later. Zeeria loves to wrestle. Reach out to pet him and eventually you’ll end up in a wrestling match fit for the late Hulk Hogan. Zeeria loves attention, loves to play, and REALLY loves treats. His bird that tweets is his favorite toy. And he really loves the top bunk of the bunk bed he shares with his remaining siblings and foster siblings. He may be a big boy, but he’s an excellent climber and can often be found at the top of the cat tree or the wardrobe if not on his top bunk. He would love to come spend time in your home and become a part of your family! I promise if you apply for this gorgeous guy, you will not regret it!

Tab Hunter is a good'ol fella that just happened to have been tested as FIV+. Unlike FeLK, FIV means he MUST be taken care of by a vet familiar with the care of FIV Cats and who does not jump to euthanize at any sniffle. Although, it is very important to get him to the vet to be treated as his immune system is not as strong as cats that do not have FIV. It is recommended that they be given the best food, the best preventatives, the best of everything...which really is the same as all cats but especially those with FIV or any with other immune deficiency conditions. One of the things that we have had him on since we rescued him is Lysine. We have used the powder kind and sprinkled it in the dry food but however you want to give it to him, is just fine. He has done well with top loading litter boxes with clumping litter but the director of the rescue prefers Pretty Litter for any cat that needs extra precaution as the Pretty Litter Brand may be helpful to catch any UTIs early. Our big boy has not caught on to grooming very well yet so he might like some help in that area. Be Gentle!!! He also has not caught on to being groomed so you might need to do this spontaneously. But Tab is a big old sweet fella. I'm sure you will see so many more traits in this guy. After all the suffering he has had in the past, he deserves only the best match so please give us time to approve you to adopt him. You won't regret it. We don't!!!

“Dunkin” has come a very long way since he was sprung from the pound. For a long time the only way he knew how to get attention was to swipe/grab at your hand, which usually was not real comfortable for humans. But he’s begun figuring out that if he lets you pet him and he doesn’t swipe/grab, it probably feels a lot better for both him and you. We think he will get better at this with someone that knows how to win cats and is not afraid of them. And knows not to wiggle fingers in front of his face, lol. We’ve known a few cats like that…a little quirky. And they were also the sweetest. He seems to have gotten more handsome too. Oh go ahead. Take a leap of faith. Adopt him.

Meet Zonk:

Zonk, also a favorite PPP chonker, is the cat for you if you are looking for a calm, quiet, serious new friend! Like his siblings Zeeria and Zera, Zonk was born at PPP a few weeks after his mother Ziva was rescued from the local kill pound. He’s sat patiently and watched other cats get forever homes, including his own mother and a sibling or two. It’s now his turn. Zonk is a calm cat who loves to watch you work, occasionally stepping over to inspect what you’re doing and get his head scratch. Like his brother and sister, he LOVES treats. He plays occasionally, in a gentle manner. Zonk gets along with new cats when they arrive in a fairly short time. He’s laid back, loves to be talked to and receive pets, and would make a great new addition to your family.
