Luna – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making!

Luna is a stunning 4-year-old “Pitsky” (Pit Bull/Husky mix) weighing just under 50 lbs—the perfect size for snuggles and adventures. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who has already completed an 8-week board-and-train program using positive reinforcement. She’s been continuing her training with her professional trainer, so she’s more than ready to show off her skills in a home of her own.

Luna is house- and crate-trained, knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake, and is highly food- and treat-motivated—making training both fun and rewarding. She loves long walks, hikes, and yard play, and would thrive with daily enrichment activities like nose work or scent games.

Home Requirements:

· She will do better as the only pet

· Luna would like an active, experienced dog owner who is home often

· She would love a fenced yard but not required

· Luna should not live with cats, small dogs, or farm animals

Luna is a total people-lover—she’s always excited to make new human friends and travel for new adventures. In the car, she’ll need to be safely crated or tethered in a car seat since her enthusiasm can get the best of her.

If you’re looking for a loving, athletic, and loyal companion to join your active lifestyle, Luna is ready to be your new best friend.

Meet Chief — your new best friend and walking buddy!

Chief is a 6 year old boxer/pittie mix with a striking white coat and adorable brown spots, a squishy bully face, and a loving personality that makes him impossible not to adore.

✨ What makes Chief special?
He has a strong leash training foundation and is a genuinely enjoyable walking companion. He doesn’t drag you down the street. Walks with Chief are steady and something to look forward to. If you want a dog you can actually enjoy walking, Chief delivers.

Chief is the perfect mix of chill and engaged. He’s not high-energy, but he lives for his daily walks, neighborhood outings, and tagging along with his person. He currently goes to work with his foster mom, enjoys morning coffee runs (puppuccino included!), and settles in easily wherever he goes.

Car rides? Loves them - he hops right in and lounges like a king.
At home? Crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps soundly through the night.
Training? Knows commands like “sit,” “crate,” and "let's go" and is eager to keep learning. He’s very food and praise motivated.
Fun? Treat puzzles, fetch and a stuffed Kong are his absolute favorites.

Chief has a solid leash foundation and truly enjoys getting out and exploring. Like many dogs, he’s still building confidence around some busier or fast moving surroundings, but he’s made great progress and continues to improve with consistency and guidance.

He gets along well with calm, low - to medium energy dogs and is a respectful, easygoing housemate. He’s not much of a rough player, but he coexists nicely with other mellow pups, including smaller or senior dogs.

Because of his size (around 50 lbs) and occasional goofy moments, Chief would do best in a home with adults or older kids (teens+).

Why Chief?
He’s one of those “hidden gem” dogs - easy to live with, devoted to his people, and happiest just being by your side. Whether you’re running errands, heading out for a walk, or relaxing at home, Chief is all in.

Chief is currently being fostered in North Carolina and can be transported along the East Coast to his forever home.

Meet Bruno!

At 6 years old, Bruno has the perfect balance of playful energy and laidback companionship. He's been waiting far too long for his forever family, and everyone who knows him agrees—it's finally his turn.

This handsome, happy boy weighs about 65 pounds and has an infectious smile that's impossible to resist. With one ear standing tall and the other adorably flopped over, Bruno is as unique on the outside as he is on the inside. While he isn't exactly lap dog sized, don't tell him that! He loves being close to his people, soaking up affection, handing out sweet kisses, and claiming his favorite spot right beside you on the couch.

Bruno has settled beautifully into foster care and has shown everyone what makes him such a special companion. He's fully house trained, crate trained, and is perfectly content relaxing in his crate when left home alone. Around the house, he's an easygoing guy who enjoys lounging on the couch, chewing on a frozen treat, or entertaining himself with his toy collection. His absolute favorite? A Lamb Chop stuffie!

Bruno would thrive as the only dog in his home, where he can soak up all the love and attention. While he's not looking for a busy multi-dog household, he has shown that he can enjoy the company of respectful female dogs. He has made several female dog friends and loves having supervised play sessions with them, as long as they respect his pace and personal space. Because of this, we'd be happy to discuss a home with the right easygoing female dog, but Bruno's ideal match is a family where he can be the center of attention.

He enjoys walks and does well on leash, though he's still working on polishing his leash manners when he gets excited. He also loves chasing thrown toys, even if bringing them back is still a work in progress!

Due to his size and enthusiastic personality, Bruno would do best in a home with children ages 10 and older.

Bruno has spent far too much time waiting for someone to choose him. At 6 years old, he's past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of life, love, and playful moments to share. He's ready for a family that will appreciate his goofy personality, loyal heart, and love of life's simple pleasures—like couch cuddles, stuffed toys, and spending time with his favorite humans.

Bruno's adoption fee has been generously sponsored! If adopted within South Carolina, his adoption fee is just $50. For out-of-state adopters, his fee is $175.

Bruno is currently fostered in South Carolina and can be transported along the East Coast as far north as Maine to his forever family.

If you think Bruno could be the missing piece of your family, apply today at https://underhoundrailroad.org/adoption-application/.

Meet one of the Charlie Brown Puppies, Linus – a tender-hearted pup with the soul of a gentle giant and the goofy charm of a big ol’ puppy. He is a year old and around 65–70 lbs, Linus is already house-trained, crate-trained, fully vetted, and ready to find a place to call home.

Linus may be a little shy with new people, but once you’re “his person,” he’s all in. Expect full-body wiggles, goofy grins, and endless snuggles from this loyal boy. He just needs a little patience and understanding to feel safe, and once he does, you’ll have a best friend for life.

His Story:
Linus came to BFPA as a tiny puppy. He and his litter of six had a rough start—surrendered to a rural shelter at just 2½ weeks old, they had to be bottle-fed by special fosters before moving to regular foster homes. As Linus grew he began resource guarding food and toys with other dogs (never with humans). This isn’t unusual for pups who experienced early trauma, but to help him succeed, Linus completed an 8-week positive reinforcement program.

The Perfect Home for Linus:
Linus would thrive as the only pet in a calm home with older kids who understand that sometimes a pup needs space to warm up. He’s a “king of the castle” kind of guy—loyal, loving, and happiest when he can have his humans all to himself. A quieter home where he can feel secure is best.

If you believe the best relationships are built on trust and you’re ready to offer a safe, loving home to a dog who truly deserves it, Linus is waiting for you. His loyalty runs deep, his heart is big, and he just needs the right person or family to let it shine.
