Maddox was turned in by a family with children and other dogs. He got along well with them. They also had cats and chickens, who were the object of his attention, and not in a good way. Although the dog had been with them for some time, they turned him in because they were worried the neighbors would harm him. He is a calm dog who is gentle and gets along well with the shelter staff. He walks on lead.

Sweet Jack was left with his mom and his brother on a rural highway and kept in a pig pen until we were able to pick him up. What he lacks in manners he more than makes up with sweetness. Please consider Jack for your next best friend~!

Nick came in with ren other dogs, including two moms, both of them caring for 8 hound puppies. Most of the dogs are gone to rescue, but Fanny and Nick remain. It is clear that these dogs did not get a lot of one on one attention, and as a result she and Nick can be a bit hesitant with new things. They are learning the leash and did well at the vet. Fanny gets along well with other dogs and with people.

Percy has been at the shelter for several months - being an active dog this has been very hard on him. He is high energy and needs to run around. He gets along well with everyone (dogs, people) but might be too much for a small child. However, he is a happy go lucky fellow who will fit in well with a multiple dog household.

Danny came to the shelter because his owner no longer wanted him. He was sent to the prison program where it was learned that he did not do well with dominant large male dogs, although he does well with females and smaller males. He is a good boy with people, but we need to get him into a foster or a home as the shelter is not a good environment for him. Recently a trainer came to the shelter and pointed Danny out as the best dog we had there. He is high energy but with sufficient exercise he will make a great pet
