Meet Stubby. He is an approximately 2 - 3 year old cattle dog, 35 lbs and about 16”. Stubby is house- and crate-trained. He is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and microchipped.

Stubby knows Sit and Come and walks nicely on a lead. He gets along with his foster mom's two Border Collies and they all go for off-lead walks around her property in the morning. Stubby has visited Tractor Supply and Petsense and he has been a complete gentleman, calmly greeting people and dogs.

He has come to agility training with his foster mom and has been equally polite with dogs and people there. While there's not a resident cat, Stubby has met cats in their cages at Petsense and made no attempt to lunge at them.

Stubby is full of energy and loves to wrestle. Stubby would like to be “top dog” but his foster sister Border Collie refuses to allow that. Stubby would also like to be protective of his toys and his people, but he has learned that this behavior is not acceptable. Stubby needs a herding dog savvy person and a fenced yard. He would like another dog and perhaps older children to play with and throw a ball for him. He really really wants his own person to care about. Think you could be Stubby's always and forever? Hi, meet Boomer...he's the long-haired Daschund mix that's going to make your heart go pitter-patter. You see, he's really twice the cute pup package because he's bonded with his buddy Chase. They're quite the dynamic duo and they are looking for their happily ever after.

Boomer and Chase were dumped by an unknown and, thankfully, saved by a good citizen. They're currently being fostered in Wimauma, FL.

Boomer is all about backyard chases. Squirrels, birds, lizards, you name it. If there's a critter in the backyard, he's all about the hunt. But, when things are quiet, there's nothing he likes more than snuggles and belly scratches.

Boomer's still working on his basics. He's crate trained, but not potty-trained, and he's got some work to do on his manners as he likes to jump and beg for treats. He's currently working on sit/stay. Foster mom says he's very food motivated, so with a little time, effort, and patience, all of these things should come to him.

Boomer gets very nervous when he's not in the same area as his bestest buddy, Chase, that he was rescued with. They sleep together, run and chase together, and do everything together. They love their foster people, but are definitely best friends that need to stay together. These two also fancy themselves escape artists, so a secure, fenced yard with outside supervision is a must!

When they first came in, Boomer and Chase were heartworm positive, however, their treatment has wrapped up and they are ready for their always and forever.

June Bug is a senior chihuahua whom Ive been told was one of many from a home/ owner surrender situation.. She is very dainty, scared of a lot of things. She doesnt see well, so I think that contributes to her fears. She does love to be held, and I think was a lap chi. She ignores other dogs, has sniffed a few and does not interact.

She is very quiet does not bark, does her business out doors or on a pad. She hhas a great appetite, and seems healthy except for her eyesight. There do not seem to be cataracts present.

She presents as snarling and mean, but if you talk to her, and pet her she relaxes and comes up to you to be picked up and held. This is a dog that is in need of a chi person. She is not the easiest but she is by far not the worst. She would do well in a home with a senior and one other chi or no other dogs. walks well on lead but does not like her neck handled. A harness would be a better choice for her.

She is a burrower and has a chi bed that can go with her. She has an upcoming vet visit to examine her, but we will start taking applications. She will be a great dog for someone experienced with chihuahua. Fostered in Bradenton
